Sweet Dreams

I just had a knock at the door and was very excited to receive my copy of the game that got me into backing games on Kickstarter (I blame the Women and Gaming Forum on BoardGameGeek). Project Dreamscape has arrived!

Lovely artwork on the cover.

I was eager to open the box, although that proved slightly tricky as the box lid is a snug fit. At least I don’t have any worries about it falling off when transporting it…

All present and correct, with more lovely artwork.

Having successfully opened the box, I found all the promised components including the sleep token corresponding to the final stretch goal reached during the Kickstarter campaign. I was really pleased we reached that stretch goal as it is always nice to have basically a mini-expansion included for after we have got used to the main game. There are also all the expansion cards to try too: it will be fun to test out different combinations. And there is a solo variant. So much game in a very small box!

The different components spread out - including a couple of handy reference cards.

The artwork is truly beautiful, a dreamy style that is definitely in keeping with the dream theme. The pictures are nice and clear on the cards even though there are 2 pictures on each card. I can’t wait to play it…
